WHAT IS TWIN
VALLEY RC&D?
Resource
Conservation and Development, or RC&D, is a program of the
USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. There are
currently 375 RC&D Areas, with 7 in Louisiana. Twin
Valley RC&D, organized in 1970 and incorporated in 1988, is
an independent, nonprofit organization where citizens input
is sought, listened to, and acted upon.

STATEMENT
To help people
work together at the local level to take advantage of the
sources of technical and financial assistance
available to improve their standards of living and to make their
communities better places to live.
TWIN VALLEY
RC&D VISION
To encourage
economic growth through development, conservation and planned
utilization of the natural resources in Central and Northwest
Louisiana. Our Council members are nominated by the
sponsoring Soil and Water Conservation Districts and Police
Juries of our eight parish service area. The Council
chooses the projects that Twin Valley RC&D Area will pursue
in an annual plan guided by the overall area plan.
